These Ground Pork Tacos are easy to make and flavorful. They are made with ground pork and served with a delicious Mexican Cabbage Slaw and hot sauce.

This easy taco recipe is made with ground pork and flavored with homemade taco seasoning, and we love to serve them with a crunchy Mexican slaw for delicious texture and flavor. Here are some of our recommendations/tips with the ingredients for the recipe:

  • Use premade taco seasoning or follow our suggestion on the spices to season the ground pork. Either option works.
  • Substitute Ground Pork for Ground Chicken or Ground Turkey.

🥣 How to Make

These are the best ground pork tacos that are easy to make. You cook the pork and veggies and then assemble the tacos.

Saute onion and garlic, and add spices and tomato paste.

Add diced onion to a pre-heated saute pan with 1-2 tbsp olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook onion for about 3-5 minutes; add garlic and cook for 1 additional minute.

Add taco seasoning and tomato paste and stir to combine.

NOTE: If you prefer to remove excess grease and fat after the pork is cooked, then add seasoning after it’s cooked.

Cook pork and season to taste.

Add ground pork to the same saute pan. Use a spatula to break it into pieces.

Once the pork is cooked, taste and add some lime juice for acidity, or more salt, as needed.

Ingredients
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil , or sub avocado oil
  • ½ white onion , diced
  • 2 garlic cloves , minced
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • pinch of salt , plus more to taste
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 lb ground pork , or sub ground beef, chicken or turkey
  • 1-2 tsp lime juice , plus more to taste
