Welcome back to another Pizza Friday! This week we got The Best Homemade Meatball Pizza!!! It’s simple to make and very delicious! You only need 5 ingredients, and it’s ready in about 15 minutes or less! 

To make this pizza, you will need the following 4 ingredients:

  • Pizza dough – homemade or store-bought
  • Marinara – homemade or store-bought. If I had to choose, I would make homemade marinara because it’s crazy easy! Our homemade marinara is ready in 10 minutes! 
  • Cheddar Cheese with Parmesan Notes – Adds nice flavor and pairs nicely with meatballs.
  • Havarti Cheese – Adds nice creamy notes.
  • Meatballs – homemade or store-bought. We like making our own because it’s easy and we can control the flavor. We make our homemade meatballs using our fennel sausage recipe. To make the meatballs, take a cookie scoop and roll the raw meat mixture into balls. Saute the rolled meat in a skillet with olive oil for 5 minutes and flip the meatballs to cook on the other side for an extra 5 minutes.

We selected a Cabernet Sauvignon to pair with this pizza.  The full-bodied and smooth wine complement the meatball pizza perfectly. Every sip after each bite enhances the flavor more and more, making it a perfect match.

Description

This Homemade Meatball Pizza is super easy to make at home in your oven. It’s very delicious and topped with fresh pizza sauce made from tomatoes, cheese, and fennel meatballs.  This Meatball Pizza recipe is the best, and we guarantee you’ll want to make this home pizza over and over again!

Ingredients

  • Pizza dough – homemade or store-bought
  • 1/3 cup marinara – homemade or store-bought
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese with Parmesan Notes
  • 1/2 cup shredded Havarti Cheese
  • Meatballs – homemade or store-bought

Instructions

  1. Place a pizza stone in the oven and preheat the oven to 550 degrees F or as high as it can get. You want your oven as hot as possible. 
  2. Prepare pizza dough.  Flour the surface and flour a rolling pin to roll the dough from the center to the edges until the circle is about half an inch thick.  Once fully rolled out, place parchment paper on your pizza peel, gently pick up the dough, and lay it on top. 
  3. Add about 1/3  cup of marinara and spread it evenly on the dough with the back of a spoon.
  4. Add pre-cooked meatballs on the pizza and sprinkle the cheddar cheese and Havarti cheese evenly on top.
  5. Gently slide pizza onto the pizza stone and bake for about 12-15 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.  If needed, turn on the broiler on high to make the cheese extra brown on top. Be careful not to burn the pizza, as this process goes quickly. 
  6. Remove pizza from the oven, cut into slices, and serve immediately.
