Buffalo Chicken Pizza

This Buffalo Chicken Pizza Recipe is cheesy, full of buffalo flavor, packed with chicken, and topped with tomatoes and fresh basil leaves.

  • 1 cup of shredded chicken - use leftover chicken store-bought chicken, or saute about 1-2 chicken breast seasoned with salt and black pepper until thoroughly cooked.
  • ½ cup of your favorite buffalo sauce We used The New Primal Medium Buffalo Sauce
  • Pizza dough homemade or store-bought
  • 2-3 Campari tomatoes sliced
  • 4 oz shredded Fresh Mozzarella Cheese
  • 3 oz shredded Smoked Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • pinch of salt and pepper
  • 3-4 Fresh basil leaves chopped


  • Preheat the oven to 550 degrees F or as hot as your oven gets. 
  • Prepare pizza dough.  Flour the surface and flour a rolling pin to roll the dough from the center to the edges until the circle is about half an inch thick.  Once fully rolled out, place parchment paper on your pizza peel, gently pick up the dough, and lay it on top. 
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Use a pastry brush to add the sauce on the dough evenly.  
  • In a small bowl, toss the shredded chicken with 1/4 cup of buffalo sauce until fully coated.
  • Add sliced tomatoes, and sprinkle the coated chicken evenly on top.
  • Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly on top.
  • Gently slide pizza onto the pizza stone and bake for about 10-12 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.  If needed, turn on the broiler on high to make the cheese extra brown on top. Be careful not to burn the pizza, as this process goes quickly. 
  • Remove pizza from the oven, add basil leaves on top, and cut into slices to serve immediately.
