Ingredients

  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • ½ cup almond butter
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp cinnamon optional

Instructions

  • To a small saucepan, whisk together all ingredients over medium-low heat until smooth and glossy (about 5 minutes).
  • Remove from heat and let the caramel cool to room temperature (about 5 minutes). It will thicken like traditional caramel sauce.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.

Notes

If the caramel is too thick, place the container in the microwave and heat in 10-second increments.
