Peanut Butter Icing
¼cuppeanut butter
2teaspoonscoconut oil
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare flax egg in a bowl by adding 1 tbsp ground flaxseed with 2 tbsp of water. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes or until it becomes sticky (consistency of an egg white).
Add melted coconut oil and pumpkin puree to the bowl and mix to combine.
Add flour and cinnamon on top of the mixture, tossed together first, then mix until a dough is formed.
Sprinkle about 1 tsp of flour on a smooth surface and roll out the dough to 1 cm thick. Use a biscuit cutter to make shapes (or use a top of a glass). Carefully transfer cut dough to the baking sheet, and bake for 15 minutes.
Make Peanut Butter Icing while the treats are baking. Whisk together 2 teaspoons of coconut oil with 1/4 cup of peanut butter. Microwave for 10 seconds and whisk again until the icing becomes soft and smooth.
Remove the treats from the oven and let them cool completely.
Once the treats are cooled, drizzle the icing on top and place them in the freezer for 5-10 minutes, or until the icing hardens. Treat your pups with one of these treats!!
Notes
Store in a cookie jar or a glass container at room temperature for 1 week.
