Ginger Simple Syrup
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar cane or turbinado
- ⅓ cup fresh ginger peeled
Margarita
- 3 oz Anejo tequila
- ½ oz fresh lime juice
- ¾ oz ginger simple syrup
Make the Ginger Simple Syrup. Add fresh ginger to a small saucepan with equal parts of water and cane sugar or turbinado sugar. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat, let the mixture steep/cool for 10 minutes, and then add to a blender. Blend until smooth and creamy. Place simple syrup in the refrigerator to continue cooling until ready to make margaritas. 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, 1/3 cup fresh ginger
Add ingredients and ice to a shaker. Add tequila, fresh lime juice, ginger-flavored simple syrup, and ice to a cocktail shaker.
3 oz Anejo tequila, 1/2 oz fresh lime juice, 3/4 oz ginger simple syrup
Rim the glass. On a small plate, add margarita salt or kosher salt. Rub the rim and the side of the glass with a lime wedge. Tilt the glass into the mixture so that the salt sticks to the glass.

Shake and Strain. Shake vigorously and strain the drink into the prepared glass filled with ice.
Garnish and Serve. Add a lime wheel to the drink, and enjoy.
