Ingredients

Matcha

  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 2 oz hot water

Sweet Strawberry Cream

  • 5 strawberries sliced
  • 2 tbsp cane sugar
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 3 tbsp heavy cream, or milk of choice optional

To Serve:

  • ice
  • 6 oz milk of choice

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, sift in the 1 teaspoon matcha powder using the back of a wooden spoon. Pour in hot water and whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk or milk frother until dissolved and foamy on top.
  • Add sliced strawberries, cane sugar and water to a sauce pan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and cook the strawberries until they break down and release their juice.
  • Strain the strawberry sauce over a medium bowl, pushing the juice through the strainer, leaving the pulp behind.
  • Optional - to make a Sweet Strawberry Cream, add 3 tablespoons of milk of choice or heavy cream and use a milk frother to blend.
  • Add ice to a glass, milk of choice, matcha, and sweet strawberry cream. Stir to combine and enjoy!
