Quick and Healthy Turmeric Smoothie

This Turmeric Ginger Banana Smoothie is very simple to make, creamy, refreshing, packed with vitamin C, slightly-zingy, and naturally sweetened. It’s also immune-boosting, rich in antioxidants, and keeps you full for hours, all while tasting delicious! It has fresh carrots but it’s not overpowering. Carrots add a nice sweetness with the orange juice. This Smoothie is healthy and vegan-friendly and perfect for breakfast, or after a workout because it’s protein-rich.

This smoothie resembles our Shooting Star Copycat Recipe (freshly squeezed oranges, ginger, and carrots) but thicker and richer in flavor. Turmeric Powder doesn’t add much flavor except some spice, which is a nice compliment with orange juice. It’s so good and healthy!

Quick and Easy Turmeric Smoothie

Ingredients and Substitutions

  • Carrots – Rich in vitamin A and antioxidants.
  • Frozen banana – Compliments the spice with some sweetness and makes this smoothie thick and cold. If you fresh bananas, you’ll want to add some ice to make the smoothie cold.
  • Fresh Ginger – Give this smoothie that spicy kick, but not overly spicy.
  • Chia Seeds – Adds plant-based fiber.
  • Orange Juice – Adds extra Vitamin C. Or, substitute with water or a plant based milk like vanilla almond milk or oat milk.
  • Ground Turmeric Powder – We used Gaia Golden Milk Powder with Turmeric, Ashwagandha, Dates, Cardamom, and Vanilla. Or, substitute with fresh turmeric, about 1 tablespoon.
  • Turmeric Powder – We used Gaia Golden Milk Powder with Turmeric, Ashwagandha, Dates, Cardamom, and Vanilla. Or, substitute with fresh turmeric, about 1 teaspoon.

This Turmeric Banana Smoothie with ginger is very simple, refreshing, packed with vitamin C, slightly-zingy, and naturally sweetened.

When the season starts to change, and you feel a cold coming on (or want to prevent one), this smoothie is a great choice.  It’s not only delicious, but it’s healthy! We hope you all love this smoothie! Enjoy!
