Simple Roasted Tamari Almonds for salads

These homemade Roasted Tamari Almonds are simple to make and flavorful! Eat as a snack or enjoy as a topping to a side or salad!

The best part about traveling for work: is sightseeing & checking out new restaurants and local cafés. There are unique and inspiring places in every city. One of my favorite places to discover new food is in Boston! The last time I was there, I stumbled upon an organic café with delicious warming bowls, fresh salads, and beverages. It was a cute little trendy place, and the vibe there was very welcoming and relaxing. I got a warming bowl and added tamari almonds on top for extra crunch and protein. The flavor of the tamari almonds was tasty, and I knew I had to make them for my homemade meals. I tried multiple recipes online that did not turn out well, so it was time to create one for this space here.

🌰 Ingredients

This recipe only requires 2 ingredients!

  • Raw, unsalted almonds
  • Tamari sauce – We get this Tamari Sauce because it’s gluten-free and low in sodium.

These Roasted Tamaria Almonds are super simple to make, but there is a key to roasting almonds in the oven. Depending on what type of oven you have, it’s important to adjust the heat level. If you have a gas stove, you will want to increase your temperature 15 degrees higher in this recipe because I have an electric stove.  Ideally, the cooking time should stay the same.

These Roasted Tamari Almonds are super tasty and make a perfect go-to snack, a great addition to salads or warming bowls.  We hope you love them as much as we do!

Instructions
  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit and spread almonds on a baking sheet.
  • Bake almonds for 11 minutes, shake the pan, and turn the pan around in the oven for even baking. Bake for an additional 11 minutes until fragrant and slightly golden brown.
  • Remove the roasted almonds from the oven and add the tamari soy sauce (it will sizzle, which is okay!).  Mix with a spatula to coat all the almonds. The liquid will get absorbed by the almonds. Let cool for 5 minutes before enjoying!
