This Homemade Buffalo Chicken Pizza Recipe is cheesy, full of buffalo flavor, packed with chicken, and topped with tomatoes and fresh basil leaves. We love this recipe because it’s full of flavor and requires minimal ingredients to make.

This pizza is perfect by itself because it has so much flavor. However, adding a little ranch drizzle on top would take this pizza to the next level.

Shredded Chicken and The New Primal Medium Buffalo Sauce

Ingredients

  • Shredded chicken – use leftover chicken, store-bought chicken, or saute about 1-2 chicken breast seasoned with salt and black pepper until thoroughly cooked.
  • Your favorite buffalo sauce. We love The New Primal Medium Buffalo Sauce. It’s so delicious and has the perfect amount of spice.
  • Pizza dough, homemade or store-bought.
  • Campari tomatoes
  • Cheese: Fresh Mozzarella and Smoked Mozzarella – These two kinds of cheese are so good together on a pizza. Once you try it, you will be hooked.
  • Sauce: olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper
  • Fresh basil leaves – this is optional, but I love adding fresh basil to this pizza because it gives a fresh flavor with each bite.

How to store leftover pizza and reheat?


Store pizza in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop until hot. We like to add olive oil to a pan and love how it crisps up the pizza crust. Goodbye to soggy leftover pizza dough.

This Buffalo Chicken Pizza Recipe is cheesy, full of buffalo flavor, packed with chicken, and topped with tomatoes and fresh basil leaves.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup shredded chicken
  • ½ cup buffalo sauce We used The New Primal Medium Buffalo Sauce
  • 1 lb pizza dough homemade or store-bought
  • 2-3 Campari tomatoes sliced
  • 4 oz Fresh Mozzarella Cheese shredded
  • 3 oz Smoked Mozzarella Cheese shredded
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • pinch of salt and pepper
  • 3-4 Fresh basil leaves chopped
Instructions
  • Preheat the oven to 550 degrees F or as hot as your oven gets. 
  • Prepare pizza dough.  Flour the surface and flour a rolling pin to roll the dough from the center to the edges until the circle is about half an inch thick.  Once fully rolled out, place parchment paper on your pizza peel, gently pick up the dough, and lay it on top. 
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Use a pastry brush to add the sauce on the dough evenly.  
  • In a small bowl, toss the shredded chicken with 1/4 cup of buffalo sauce until fully coated.
  • Add sliced tomatoes, and sprinkle the coated chicken evenly on top.
  • Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly on top.
  • Gently slide pizza onto the pizza stone and bake for about 10-12 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.  If needed, turn on the broiler on high to make the cheese extra brown on top. Be careful not to burn the pizza, as this process goes quickly. 
  • Remove pizza from the oven, add basil leaves on top, and cut into slices to serve immediately.
