This Chocolatini, aka Chocolate Martini, is rich and creamy and the best dessert martini to enjoy as a decadent boozy treat. So, chocolate lovers, get ready; this after-dinner treat is calling your name, and we think you all will love it.
Chocolate liqueur is a combination of cocoa solids and cocoa butter. It’s produced by grounding up cocoa nibs into a paste from the beans of a cocoa tree. Chocolate liqueur is known as unsweetened baking chocolate, which is roughly 50% cocoa solids (cocoa powder) and 50% cocoa butter (the vegetable fat of the cacao bean).
🍫 Ingredients
This sweet and creamy cocktail is made up of 4 liqueurs and Hershey’s chocolate syrup. Unfortunately, our Chocolatini recipe doesn’t use Baileys Irish Cream, so let’s dive into what you need to make this delicious drink.
Vanilla Stoli Vodka. We love this flavored vanilla vodka because it’s buttery and creamy. It pairs perfectly with this chocolate.
Frangelico Liqueur. This liqueur has a nice hazelnut flavor that pairs great with chocolate.
Créme De Cacao. We used De Kuyper créme de cacao liqeur as it has a nice dry chocolate flavor.
Chocolate Cream Liqueur. We previously would use Godiva’s Chocolate Liqueur, but we found out it was discontinued. So we experimented around, and we liked Mozart’s Chocolate Cream. It adds such a nice creamy chocolate flavor to this martini.
Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup. Optional, but we love how it adds a luxurious chocolate flavor. You can add it to the shaker or drizzle chocolate in the martini glass before you add the drink.
🍸 Instructions
This classic chocolate martini is easy to make; you will need a few cocktail accessories, like a jigger and a cocktail shaker.
Add ingredients and ice. Add ice and all ingredients to a cocktail shaker.
Shake and strain. Shake vigorously and strain the drink into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish and serve. Sprinkle some cocoa powder or chocolate shavings on top to make it fancy, and enjoy.
