Need a quick, game-changer of a sauce that you can’t get enough of?  If so, you are in luck!

This 5-minute harissa cashew sauce is so good and requires only 7-ingredients: cashews, water, jalapeno, harissa powder, lemon juice, garlic, and salt!

It’s very creamy, not too spicy, and has a ton of flavor! It quickly has become one of my favorite sauces to make for almost everything! I put it on tacos, wraps, buddha bowls, or use it as a dip with chips!

5-Minute Harissa Cashew Sauce

Lately, I’ve been using Terrasoul Superfoods Mylk Grade Cashews to make homemade cashew milk, and have been loving the results! The cashews are the highest quality and are refrigerated during the shipping and storage process to ensure freshness. I also noticed that the mylk grade cashews do need to be soaked as long, which is a plus when I want to make this sauce in the evening to go with dinner!

If you don’t have harissa powder in your pantry, I recommend trying Frontier Organic Seasoning Harissa Powder. Their harissa seasoning is my favorite; the spices are very aromatic! You could also swap out the harissa powder for a chipotle chili flavored sauce!

5-Minute Harissa Cashew Sauce

5-Minute Harissa Cashew Sauce that requires 7 ingredients! The perfect, creamy sauce for chips, or for adding to tacos, wraps, and more!

Ingredients

  • 2 cup cashews soaked 4 hours
  • 1 1/2-2 cup filtered water
  • 1/2 jalapeno seeds removed
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 4 tbsp lemon juice ~2 lemons
  • 2 tsp harissa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt plus more to taste

Instructions

  1. Place cashews, garlic clove, and jalapeno in a food processor, or blender along with the lemon juice, harissa powder, salt and 1 cup water.

  2. Process/blend until smooth, scraping down sides as needed. Thin with water (1/4 cup at a time) until thick and creamy sauce forms.

  3. Taste and adjust flavor as needed, adding more harissa powder or jalapeno for heat, or lemon juice for acidity. 

  4. Transfer to a serving container and enjoy immediately, or cover and refrigerate up to 5 days.
