ingredients for peanut butter cookies

Ingredients to make these Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies:

  • Creamy Peanut Butter – We used Wild Friends’ Peanut Butter. Their peanut butter is super creamy and only contains 2 ingredients: peanuts and salt.
  • Dark Brown Sugar, or substitute light brown sugar. We like to use dark brown sugar because it adds more flavor than light brown sugar, in our opinion.
  • Vanilla extract – for extra flavor
  • Egg – helps bind everything together.
  • Salt – to balance it all out.

We dunked our cookies in melted chocolate and add flaked sea salt on top, but this is completely optional. There is just something delicious about peanut butter and chocolate.

Step 4 – Cool the cookies before enjoying, or dunk them in melted chocolate and top with flaked sea salt.

These Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies require 5 ingredients and make the perfect nutty, sweet treat to enjoy throughout the week. Dunk the cookies in melted chocolate and sprinkle flaked sea salt on top for extra oomph.

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter (we like Wild Friends’ Peanut Butter)
  • 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 5 oz chocolate chips (optional)
  • flaked sea salt (optional)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  2. Add the peanut butter, brown sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and salt to a medium-sized bowl. Stir all ingredients together with a spatula until a dough forms.
  3. Using a cookie scoop, scoop out dough and place dough on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Press down on top of the dough with a fork to flatten the dough and to form a crosshatch pattern.
  4. Bake cookies for about 15-18 minutes, or until brown. Remove them from the oven and let them cool for about 5 minutes.
  5. Optional step – Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring in increments, until melted. Dunk one side of the cooled cookies into the melted chocolate and place back on the baking sheet. Once all cookies are dunked in chocolate, add flaked sea salt on top and transfer the sheet to the fridge for about 10, or until the chocolate has hardened.
